Default Drinking problem

Not the first kind of drinking problem you might think of, but a drink holder problem. I hadn't used the built in cup holders in my C4 since I bought it. A few days ago, however, I was giving the grand-daughter a ride and she plopped a can of something in one of the depressions. Then I went to shift and ... bump! The can interfered with the shifting. (Serious stuff here! :-) .) So here's the question ... what do others do if they find themselves driving their manual shifter with a nice Corvette travel cup full of hot coffee and want to be able to go above, say second gear? All help appreciated! (Thanks in advance.)

Yeah those cup holders suck. I got one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Works very well, doesn't look like it will fit but it does just slides in and looks very OEM

And yes that's $55 for a damn cup holder lol supply and demand

I don't know. I get a....(ahem) "Venti" Chai Tea Latte on my way to work most mornings. I put it ON the cup holder lid way up by the stereo to put it in reverse, back out of my spot, then put it in first, flip the lid open and slip the drink into the forward cup holder. Then I drive to working using 1st-6th gear. No issues for me.

No issues except when selecting Reverse. I try to remember to back into the parking space at the coffee shop as a workaround. If you're wrapping your hand around the shifter ball, then your hand could bump something in the cup holder.

Got one of those and it works ok for me. I had a single in the car when I bought it but didn't work well for me. I keep my GPS mount in the forward cupholder and the one closer to the passenger I use for my cup (a big one). The GPS mount fits into a cup hole and raises it above the cup so it all works out for me.

If I used your method, the only days I wouldn't be wearing my coffee would be the days I took my motorcycle to work!

Default One way to do it

Looks like it's time to find a hanging cup holder then. Thanks!

Yeah, works very well for me. Its very sturdy and holds much larger cups than the OEM.

What GPS mount did you get? I think I'm going to get a cup holder phone mount since a windshield mount takes up a ton of windshield space. I also have a AC vent one but sometimes want all the AC blowin in this socal weather. Gonna be 84 on 10-27-16
