change my air filter today car was purring, went to take it out this evenin, started then died, 2nd try same thing, unplugged MAF and started right up, how could changing the air filter kill the MAF? it is the original, so is my MAF dead???
I didn't have a check engine ligh in I too I pulled the connector off, gonna try cleaning it tonight after work , and d the clip is broken on the connector so I'll zip tie it right night just be that was running graet before I changed the filter
Check the code I'm pulling is 34 so I guess my MAF sensor is bad I disconnected the battery cleaned it out with MAF cleaner put it back in the clip to the connector is broken but it pushes in enough and I zip-tied it that make it secure still pulling code 34 guess it's time to replace them if there's anybody out there has one

Hi
You did clear the codes? disconnect battery and reconnect after at least ten seconds?
Code 34 is mass airflow sensor low, can you see the hot wire in the maf is it intact? do not touch it !
Sometimes the connectors can get corroded, remove and refit the plug several times.
If you still have a code 34 buy a new MAF sensor.
Yeah I disconnected the battery for about a minute then plug it in it's started within 2 seconds to check engine light came back on I'll check the connectors tomorrow get a better look but I see a new maf in my future
