I actually have run into that problem a couple of times - my legs especially my left leg aren't too good (among other things). Makes me mad when someone uses up two spaces screwing someone else out of the ability to park. Bet he (or she) is also using someone else's handicap placard and he actually in good health. Makes the rest of us Vette owners look bad.
Send the picture to both the local police department and DMV. I'm sure they'd be interested in such a disgusting situation. My wife is handicapped and has a disabled parking permit. I've taken her to the store before and parked in handicapped parking but I'd never do something like that. When someone does something like that, they prevent someone that may truly need access to such parking spots the ability to use them.
Many times I'll drop her off in front of the store and park away from the handicapped spots just to leave them available to others that may need them more.
Personally I'd like to see a tow truck yank something like that off to the impound lot.
Perhaps hes old and thought you park between the two signs. I've seen old people do stupid **** lately. Watched a guy the other day do a compete 180 stairing straight out of his windshield watching the world spin by, not even looking where he's going to end up or if cars are pulling in. Just looking straight out over the hood with the wheel cranked hard to the left. I guess he felt doing it at 2mph would make it safer too.
Show that picture to any local cop. Let us know what (s)he says!
Here in Jersey most local police depts. will no longer patrol lots or challenge handicap parkers to show their ID card. So the state in it's infinite wisdom decided to require recertification every 3 years by doctors cert. to root out misuse that the police could do themselves better, faster and more efficiently. It's costs me 50 bucks (co-pay) to get my doctor to sign that I am still the same. And it does nothing to cure the problem of an able bodied person using their handicapped family member's placard.
I've watched men pull up to Home Depot in their work van or pickup, park in Handicapped, put the placard on the rearview and get out in dirty workclothes to go and get supplies. Able bodied people pull up and leave the handicapped person in the vehicle while they go in to shop (which is a violation of the use requirements). Car load of teenagers pull up and race each other into the store. Real housewives in stilettos saunter into the store.
I can only hope karma gets them but good.

I think most of you might be too quick to the trigger on this one.
I agree, I'd venture to bet the owner/operator might be an old guy like most of the Corvette owners are, and in his wisdom he thinks (thought) the correct way to park is between the yellow posts. Obviously he did a pretty good job.
Unless you are there in person for this "violation" or any of the others actually, take a step back and breathe......

I'd venture to bet the owner/operator might be an old guy . . .
And just who is being too quick on the trigger? Why are you jumping to that conclusion? Do you have some personal experience here? Is this any indication of how this guy/gal drives down the highway . . . straddling the yellow line?

I totally disagree. This is plain and simple arrogance and disrespect for handicapped people. If this guy doesn't know he's taking two handicapped spaces, he shouldn't be driving. I hope he doesn't drive right down the middle of the road too because that's where the line is. As far as the owner being old because "most Corvette owners are", that's ridiculous. I'd venture to guess this guy is 35 to 45 years old and thought this park job might make him and his car look special to everyone else. Someone being "old" does not always mean they're stupid and have a lack of wisdom.
