I am curious any recomendations. Cardione or bwd. For a May on an 85...pigtails replaced same issue and 33 code so it replacement time

I am not sure what an May is.

From the code 33 it looks like you are talking about a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor.

Sorry, but I can not recommend one brand over another since I never had to replace one or look into it.

VegasVette has been struggling with his MAF (may) sensor since he installed his K&N air filter in September. Could the oil used in the K&N be contaminating his MAF sensor?

I would not bet against you on that one.

To the OP, I have used Cardone parts in the past with good results. If you do have a K&N installed, remove it and get the car running right before you do anything else.

That is certainly possible. It had a similar issue with my 95 when I put on a K&N. After the oil problem I switched back to the paper filters and never had the issue again.
