!995 C4 Center Console
My center console will not natch down. The button & spring work fine. Anyone known if there might be a latch that may be broke? Only thing I can find is button and spring that is sold - no latch.

Not trying to be a smartass here, but I believe you'd have better luck posting this question in the C4 section of this site. No shortage of C4 experience and help there.

I just got a 95 from my dad and I was having the same issue. I was able to fix this by bending the tab up a bit so it would catch the latch.

This is very easy to do with a phillips screw driver. Maybe someone or something put a lot of weight on the console door, pushing it down where it is screwed to the console compartment. Not likely, but possible.
There are only about 5 screws on the metal bracket of the console door. With the door open, loosen all of them (just loosen them, don't take them out). Then pull the whole door up. Keeping the door pulled up, tighten down the screws again.
If this hasn't worked, move on to the metal catch and adjust this a little.
The whole system is not that complicated and if something isn't broken, it should be relatively easy to fix.

I would def try Ebay first. You may be able to fabricate your own somehow.
Got this from another post ....In no particular order:
1) Ebay
2) Craigslist
3) Corvette Mods
4) Corvette Central
5) the "for sale" section of the board (you best bet for condition, truth and value)
4) Wilcox
5) Eklers
6) Zip-Corvette
7) Corvette America
8) Mid America Corvette
9) Corvette salvage yards
