Help, somehow I don't have my key for the locking gas cap.
Anyone have suggestions?

Pick it, they are pretty simple locks.

I suspect they have very simple keys, who knows they may all be the same within any particular brand. Maybe see if anyone around you has the same cap, maybe try their key on yours.

Not hard at all. Small flat blade screwdriver and a spring steel hair clip. Tickle the tumblers as you turn.
Or the ugly way. Screw in a slide hammer and give it a yank.

While we're on the subject of C4 gas caps......
Make sure the gasket on the cap is really good. Then make sure the drain hole is not plugged.
It the drain hole gets plugged the well will fill with water and possibly leak into the gas tank. You can end up with a gas tank full of water.
This doesn't happen very often but it does happen.
