I have had the original on my 92 for a few years. Mine is lowered quite a bit and have never hit anything, even curb stops, straight on. I have rubbed the bottom a few times, but no damage other than paint scratches on the bottom. This has held up very well.

I was strongly considering this piece until the additional cost of $200 was added for the "carbon" finish. Not ruling it out, but not right before Christmas.
