Anyone know what's the biggest speaker that will fit in the rear speaker compartment of an 85 Vette? I know there will be modifications to fit anything bigger than the 4" that's there now. Just seeing if anyone out there as fit a bigger speaker

10" subs mounted on home made baffles. Not what I'd call the best woofer location though...as the CF is kinda small for good low-end.

I have 8" subs in mine. I custom cut an mdf baffle to mount them. They work great. I wouldn't run 6x9s there, as they will have like 6 tweeters on them most likely which will reflect off the rear glass and screw up your staging. If I had to use 6x9s, I would disconnect the tweeters from them.

Same here - had to flip one sub out of phase to eliminate cancellation but they sound great with about 250 watts each. From the research I did I think I remember reading somewhere around .5 cubic feet in the enclosures back there.
