Re: Garage queens? (Mr Mojo)
Cars that stay in the garage 99% of the time. If there is a chance that only one drop of rain will fall, the car stays put.
Or: The exact opposite of my cars.
Ditto! Mine gets rained on, forestfire soot, general smog crud and even sometimes water from the lawn sprinklers. I wash her every weekend and wax as often as needed and shes always gorgeous. No garage queen heah... :blueangel:
If there is a hint of rain, mine stays put!! BUT....in the two years of ownership, I have put nearly 18k on it. Garage queen?
You are borderline. I've averaged close to 20,000 per year for the first two years.
9000 miles per year isn't bad, but clearly shows you don't drive it enough!!!!
I have 4 cars and my '95 gets driven the most.
My '93 would be almost considered a garage queen except that it only goes in the garage when I go on vacation. I bought it in December and haven't even put 3000 miles on it yet. Of course the miles I have put on were 1/4 mile at a time. :)
O.K. mine is a garage queen, I find that the only time I drive it when I have nowhere to go. I take only certain roads away from home, due to the potholes and rough roads around Dallas, I don't want to beat my car to death. I drive a lifted 4x4 Silvarado for a daily driver. I never have to be worried about being cut-off or some jerk not seeing me.I AM waiting for a day off though, so I can take her out and hit the highway, maybe do a 3 or 4 hundred mile road trip
There is two different definitions for the term "Garage Queen" these being
one who parks the vette in the garage and rarely finds time / pleasure in getting out for a ride.
The other definition pertains to us (ladies only) that we have no fear in taking our own cars and getting under the hood for minor to major repairs.

I guess mine fall into that category. The red one hardly gets driven anymore and the GS is only driven when it is gorgeous outside or to Bowling Green.
MINE'S NOT!!!!!!! I have had that bad dude for 6 years and have put 128K on him in that time.......I'm driving fewer miles now but I'll get back to normal soon,.........put 2600 on him in two weeks in July on vacation and didn't drive every day ...........with NO trouble............and fill him with gas and he's ready for another road trip .......... :seeya

There are also "trailer queens". I heard that term in Watkins Glen at a Concourse de Elegance show and a road rally. The guy running the road rally said that we had a gatehring of people that love AND drive their cars...."not like those trailer queens that you'll see at the concourse de elegance show later." People drive their dualies to the shows pulling their 67 convert. vette on a trailer, but hey, if they can afford to have a toy they rarely use, more power to them. I'd rather drive my toy.
