84 dash cluster
On my 84 I just bought the dash cluster aren't working. They light up but I'm not able to read them. I can see the rpm but all other is blank. Should I send them in to get rebuilt or up grade to the newer led. I want to go the best way but lowest price. What do y'all recommend. I'm just trying to get it in great condition but it doesn't have to go back to stoc

Send it to Bryan at Batee.com, great guy to deal with and he gives a warranty on what he does, worth the money to avoid the headache, it could be the polarized film on your display has been ruined by sun, or something else.

I'm not sure what that sentence means. It may be as simple as replacing the four light bulbs for the display. To check them, you'll need to remove and partially disassemble the cluster. Check the bulbs with a multimeter. (Don't touch the glass of the bulbs with your bare fingers) If it is the bulbs, batee.com sells a kit of Xenon bulbs that are better than the original Halogen bulbs.

Go to walmart, then the sporting goods section, pick up a set of "fishing" polarized sun glasses.
Next sit in your car and note if you can see the gauges.
If yes then the cluster needs new polarizing film, good time to work over the cluster while it's out.
