Okay. I am getting sick to my stomach reading some of these posts about how some people out there just wipe there c4 with a rag and just look at it. VEttes are made to be driven. What is the point of owning a vette if you don't show it off. And I don't mean by taking it to car shows via a trailer.
I understand that you don't want to drive in the rain because of other drivers not knowing how to drive in rain, but please only putting a couple grand on the vette a year, in my opinion is a sin.
I drive my vette as much as possible. 92k on it right now. Miles shouldn't matter if the maintenance is well kept.
Okay i am done with my little tantrum. THANKS for letting me vent.
before my 85 i had a 81 with 136000 miles on it, some guy was talking to me at gas station and asked about the miles told him how many and he just reached out and shook my hand, said i am glad you use it and have a good time with it, i figure thats what it is all about. enjoy the ride.
Me too.......I have no use for a car that I can't drive. If I want cars that just sit I'll start collecting models........those others that get called garage queens or trailer queens as far as I'm concerned are 12" = 1 foot scale models......... I don't have room or budget for any of those.......... :seeya
Have averaged about 1500 miles per year. Everytime I drive it it feels like I just got, like it is new to me. It wouldn't feel that special if I drove it everyday.
i have the room and the budget. and miles do count. if you change the oil every 100 miles on a 100k mile corvette its still a 100k mile corvette. i am glad you drive your car but im just as glad mine is like new. i have just as much fun taking my car to shows as you do fixing rock chips. i have had drivers too but i never had a problem with the people that had nicer cars than i did. i can appreciate a perfectly preserved corvette. to each his own. :boxing
I've got to drive the Vette as often as possible, I won't ride my motorcycle in the rain/snow, and the only other vehicle we have is my wifes Minivan :U ;........ although it does come in handy hauling the kids around. :)
Got mine in June 2001 with 35800 miles on it. Today, on the way to work, I rolled over 60200. As you can tell, it dosen't sit still for very long. I have a truck that I use in the really nasty weather (snow, hail, sleet) other than that, the Vette is on the road.

HAHA! I think we had this discussion about a month ago!!
Preserves are for jam on your sandwhich. If I had enough money, I would buy every low mile vette I could get my hands on and put 200k miles on each one. I would then take a picture of each ODO and mail you the photos just to vex you.
Re: Vettes are made to be driven!!! (into01000101)
a picture would be fine. by that time i would already have your money. allot of it because you bought a low mile vette and those are the ones that demand the money. you could burn it at that point. i would just laugh at the fool that would buy a low mileage car just to put miles on it. :jester
if i ever want to sell my car to you i will run the miles up for you. i will change it to 240k.
