Default Door panels

I don't really like my door panels and they are in need of a little TLC. My Fiero has thicker and better looking panels than my vette(I can hear the hissing and booing now). Does anyone offer a different design for the 86? I do like the late model c4s better, but I'm not sure if they are a direct fit or I would need to do a little cursing and custom work to get them in.

Hey Castivers, I like Fieros, I had an 87 GT also. Fun little car-med red/silver w/ 17" wheels, Nittos- handled really well. I wish I still had that car. I have seen a full interior conversion to '90 up, but that would be a pain. I'm not sure that '90 door panels would look good in an '86 interior due to the wrap around style cockpit of the 90's. It just wouldn't mate to the dash visually. Good luck with whatever you try. :)

I agree. My 88 fiero sounds more solid in the doors then the vette.
Hopefully when I redo the interior on the vette it will be a little nicer. :seeya

The Fiero doors do sound about 10 times more solid than my vette. I also like the look of a thick door. The Fiero might be gone tomorrow though. I've have it for sale and have had arrangements with 8 different people from out of state to come and purchase it and none have shown up. Back to the doors, I have thought about maybe trying to design a door panel, but not sure if I want to go that route.

90 and up doors will not fit with the 89-older dash.

I did the complete swap to the 1991 dash in my 89.. it was not too bad..

Thanks for the replies. Jeff, is the newer dash a direct bolt on and hookup or does it need to be modified?

No it is not a direct bolt in, you need to be creative to fabricate some mounts.

Also the Wiring is not direct plug and play. I switched the Engine harness at the same time to save me a bunch of headaches
