Default Any anti-leak additive available w/Dexcool??

I still have Dexcool in my C4 and was wondering if there is any additive available that won't harm anything. I don't have any leaks but would something be beneficial to add to the system just in case?

I personally wouldn't use an anti leak additive but I am sure there are plenty out there that are compatible with Dexcool. I don't think it would be of benefit and might actually make your cooling system less efficient.

2 suggestions. Fix the leak and flush everything out so you can use something besides Dexcool

In the 90's GM was adding these tablets to engine cooling systems and it can be used with DexCool.

https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-36346.../dp/B000QIH3C4

On page 6-168 of the 1996 Factory Service Manual, after draining and servicing the cooling system, 6 of those pellets are to be added into the surge tank.

The part no. has been superceded and is now P/N 12378255.

Why would you pour some unknown concoction into your car, based on recommendations of people you don't know on here, to fix a problem that you don't have??

Stick to basic maintenance. If you feel you need to "Tinker", flush the cooling system and re-fill...and Dexcool is perfectly FINE for the fill. That will actually provide a benefit.

Interesting product along with the reviews. Thanks for the link! I know my local dealer parts guy real well and will ask him about this too.
