Any one know of a forum as good as this one for Dodge trucks?
My tow vehicles a 94 Dodge ram 1500 5.9 with 150,000 on it, I can tell when I'm towing that It's just not as strong as it use to be. I was offered a 98 5.9 engine with only 19,000 on it. I need to know what was changed on the engines from 94 to 98. If It's like changing from a 85 L98 to a 89 L98 thats fine but if It's like going from a L98 to a LS1 thats too much to change I would be better off just rebuilding mine.
Thanks
Dave

FWIW, the Doge Ram trucks are a piece of crap!!! I have been given 2 to drive, and they have both sucked!!! The first was a 97 360 extended cab 2 wheel drive. Most uncomfortable thing I've ever been in, and the brakes were a constant problem.

Current one is a 99 Dodge extended cab 4x4 360, and it has the same problems and more. The cats have already been replaced, the brakes have been completely gone through, and now the tranny is acting up and I have an axel seal leaking. Major POS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So why dont you tell us what you really think? Dont hold back so much dude..... :blueangel:

Chrysler products have always been notorious for eating you out of house and home for nickle and dime crap. I wanted to put velcro mounts on the starter, alternator, carb and water pump on my duster I had years ago :cuss
