Default frisbee question?

I was just wondering, would it be worth it to take off the frisbee on my 89, will i see a gain in power ? is it bad for the car to be without it?

I had heard it was 10 lbs and would resort in a 10 hp gain....I pulled it off and it was about 3 lbs. Prolly a very minor gain. :blueangel:

By the way, welcome to the group and post some pics of the vette dude!

According to my manual, it is there as a balancer and a vibration dampener.

According to my manual, it is there as a balancer and a vibration dampener.
It is supposed to help keep the belt from squealing, it has been posted many times over in C4 tech, basically it doesn't really do much of anything, mine wasn't too heavy but if nothing else the front of the engine looks cleaner and its one less thing for the camber brace to clear.
Also DarkHalo I believe they made some changes, not sure what year, but I know for sure the 91's have lighter ones.

Took mine off a few months ago. No problems since then, drive the vette every day. I should have removed it years ago.
