CEL Solved
I had been getting a CEL after 40 minutes of running and stayed on until I shut the engine off. Whether it was off for 1 minute or 1 week it would always come back on after 40 minutes of continuous running.
While replacing the starter I went ahead and replaced the O2 sensor, as I expected it was the issue, problem solved. 89 auto
