Default 19954 Dash Pad

I am sure it has been asked before but i have had no luck in finding it.

How do you get the Dash Pad off my 1995?

i have over half my dash pulled apart and that thing is holding on for dear life. not wanting to pull on it to hard and ran out of light today. the last thing i seen was a 7mm bolt way back by the windshield. not sure if that has to come out and i hope not it is way back in there.

anyone that might have some info to keep me from breaking anything would be awesome you even make you my new best friend at lest for awhile lol

If you are talking about the screws under the defroster vent yes they have to come out.
Section 8C figure 35 in the FSM shows exactly where the screws are.

While i was waiting for parts i copied all the instructions to MS WORD for printing.

Here is the section on the upper trim pad AKA the Dash Pad
Unfortunately the forum remove extra spaces so the indents won't stay in the instructions.

If you want it as a PDF PM me an email address and I'll send it.

Your instructions appear to be for maybe a '93 and earlier. Similar yes BUT the OP has a '95 and passenger SIR.

OP - if the screw you see is center of dash @ the defroster outlet there are 2 at that location like all '90+ I'm quite sure. I mostly watched a fellow do a dash pad in a '94 or '95. The clips across the front held it quite firmly. If you've the air outlets removed, the lower bolster trim, defroster outlet/sensor there's maybe 6 total screws.

I got those 2 screws out it is loose just the back has a good hold. might just need to put some more pull to it.

Thank you very much

What WVZR-1 is saying is; where I'm removing a glove box you have an airbag. The pad should come off leaving the airbag in place, but do adhere to the safety precautions for working around it.

The trick is to lift up on the front edge of the pad then pull forward and yes it does take some pulling but not that much.

Came out this morning and after getting over the fear of breaking it gave it a good couple of pulls and popped right off.

Thanks guys for the info now just hoping I can get it snapped back in once it is fixed lol

I was actually surprised how easily mine went back in. Just keep an eye on the sun load sensor cable so it doesn't end up under the dash
