Yep-been going for 20+years, hope to make it if weather isn't cold/raining!
A veteran first trip for me figure it is a great reason to take the weekend off work. Plus how often will I get a chance to cruise with that many Vettes. If you see me there stop me and say hey
going to spend the day cleaning and working on my dash tomorrow. seams like a long time till the 17th. waiting is not one of my strong points lol looks like it might be and added thing to do every year
I went to the auction last year and it wasn't very good. I did like all the vendors and offerings inside. Does anyone remember if they had a guy there doing wheel repair?? My CE wheels are fine but I'd love to make them 100%.

Reason: Added info
First, the Expo picture on the Forum home page was taken years ago.
Second, attendance has dropped way off over the last 5 years or so.
The move from Knoxville to Sevierville made no sense; the Cooper brothers should have made every effort to keep it in that city. Vendors this year inside? Yep, maybe 20. Outside, maybe 8 to 10. Show cars maybe 15 or so. It just is not the fun it use to be, I have been going since the late 70's. In it's prime, hundreds of vendors and always several hundred Corvettes. Recently adding the Tail of the Dragon run has had some success during event time. But for someone off the street, not interested in the car auction, has little to enjoy. While many national events seem to hold their own with participation, this one is a slow death. Not worth the admission cost, gas, food, hotel. And not going back for a while. Hopefully new life can be pumped into what use to be an awesome weekend.

That is disappointing to hear. I couldn't make it this year but was looking forward to it next year since that is my home town.
witmerdog, I thought that was an old photo too. Outside of the lousy auction last year, it was pretty nice inside, but NOT THAT NICE!
Even though I didn't go this year due to the rain, I'm sure the poor weather hurt attendance pretty bad. March is very early in the season for outdoor events here in the mountains. While some days can be drop dead gorgeous, I don't need to remind locals of the 1993 blizzards. It's a gamble, and apparently this year was a loss.

I went on Saturday (I got there a little later than my usual). I spoke with a couple of friends and we all agreed, attendance was way down. Hardly any vendors and not too many auction cars. This event has been going downhill since it left Knoxville. And this year was the first time I didn't get a hotel room and stay in Pigeon Forge (and the Loudon event isn't worth my time). If they want to return the Corvette Expo back to it's former glory, move the events back to Knoxville.
