I bought my current '92 last November from an owner that parked it in a garage/barn area for many years. I removed the door panel to replace the window sweep and found a huge mouse nest tucked inside. Luckily they only chewed the wires for the hatch switch. I was wondering why that didn't work! All they need is a tiny crack to get in - amazing and annoying little creatures.
I put a product called Fresh Cab in our vehicles and travel trailer when putting them up for the season or in the barn. It keeps rodents away and does not have a bad smell.
Looks like a good product. I'll check it out. I had chipmunks infest my wife's Honda. They built nests in the trunk insulation, intake duct by the windshield, in the defroster ducts and they complete filled the AC condenser unit with urine soaked bedding. I actually flushed everything with the garden hose and piine sol. After 3 years I still have the odor when the sun shines on the car. Lately I've resorted to dozens of mouse traps set up all around the cars. I snag a couple of dozen mice then it drops off. I live in a rural farming area. Too bad I can't keep cats around. Best mouse deterent there is.
