Default Corvette 1993

My a/c compressor stopped. Freon okay, fuses seem okay, I am just not getting any power. Compressor will work if I jump,it to the battery. Could it be the climate control unit? Any thoughts on the power problem?
Thanks

How do you know the charge is OK. Not sure about the C4, but most AC systems have a low pressure override switch which keeps the compressor from working.

Had same experience with my 95 coupe. Look at the connectors on the 12 inch pigtail wire coming from the compressor. Mine only made intermediate contact and drove me crazy until this real issue was discovered. I replaced the plastic connectors and used dio grease but next time it will be a hard wire solder.
Hope this helps.

I took it to someone who checked the freon in the system. Any idea where I could find the pressure switch on my 93? I'm trying to keep from taking it to a dealer. I'm pretty handy if I just know what to look for.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.
