silver, that is what is in my 86. even on the drive home from where i bought it i could tell it was quieter than my 87 which doesnt have it.

my car is in similar state to your right now.

I am using the same stuff on the doors and probably fill in some gaps with it but the factory stuff is really in pretty good shape so I'm debating on taking it out or not.

Man, the breadbasket wasn't fun. Also debating wether or not to put that damn thing back in. Had to remove it pull the lower portion to be recarpeted.

Debating trying to fix the lumbar supports in the seats too. The "while I'm here" thing is getting longer and longer.....

Glad to see misery has some company!
