Console latch

I'm not sure what I'm missing or what's broken.
Could someone take a pic of what the latch is supposed to latch too?

I'm sure someone will be able to post a pic for you but I have to head to work, it's basically just a little metal tab the latch on the arm rest connects to, it's on the driver side of the storage compartment. I'll take a picture tonight if noone does for you. You also didn't mention what year, not sure if they changed in the interior update.

It's also possible that the console button spring is broken.

I think the button is ok, the metal 'tab' that attaches to the console is too short I think...

What year is your car ? ....I have some pictures on my album page of a repair I did on my console lid some years ago. May not show what you need though, but you're welcome to take a look.

Mine is broken too. The area in the latch itself where it is supposed to catch is broken out, as if POs pulled up on the cover without pushing the latch in. Stays down by itself though so I haven't bothered to fix it.

Ecklers had the replacement for about $13.00. Piece of cake to replace.

Youtube shows easy replacement, lookup corvette console latch, it showed me how to do mine last week but now I have to push latch to close completely. The hook was broken on the latch button. 94-C4
