Yes, a different induction nobody has support for and I am not sure how easy it will be to find someone who understands it should a serious issue arise.

I always wonder about that. All things equal, would you buy that same car with the 4 cylinder option then if you don't care about how much power it has? 60s and 70s? That was like 40 years ago at least. I'm 50 and I sure hope I don't live old enough to grow past wicked acceleration. Not sure how much left there would be to live for. I see my adopted parents give up stuff bit by bit. Scary.
Personal preference. I prefer my 30+ year old cars to be unmolested. Just not interested in something that has been chopped to hell.

I pretty much understand the CFI, don't need to find someone else to work on it. The issue down the road could be parts no longer available.

If that occurred I would be forced to molest the engine. Either swap to a carb or most likely an after market SBC fuel injection system. There are always options. If that came about I would most likely repair the vehicle, sell it then look for another unmolested ride.

I'm a child of the big, old American V8 era. I've never had a hobby car that did not have a V8 so doubt I would buy one with a 4 cylinder.

I'm an old school drag racer of both cars and motorcycles. Some never out grow the need for wicked acceleration, some of us do.
