Thanks for the Info, do you think it is worth porting the stock parts?
Oh I don't know how much power do you want? I've got stock parts ported and make 100 horsepower over stock for a total of 365 at the rear wheels. Think that would suit you?
I was told that just porting the Intake manifold would give me minimal gains. Is this true? Or do I have to port and polish the stock heads as well to see any gains? I am looking for the most cost efficient way to go about this?
Depends on who you have do it. The guys at Total Engine Airflow here in Bowling Green tend have a very competative price. I'm afraid I can't say exactly how much it will cost because I didn't actually pay full price for mine. I have been very happy with the results, and the owner is a really good guy.
Visit http://www.totalengineairflow.com and see what you can find. They claim to sell an 11 second Heads / Cam package for $1749.00 I'm pretty sure that's a CC306 cam and doing the work to your existing heads.
Give them a call, ask for Brian Tooley, he's the owner. Also be sure and tell him that you heard about him from Nathan Plemons on https://www.corvetteforum.com Certainly won't hurt anything for you, and it'll help me.
