What have you done to repair the plastic? Mine has the common break at the key ring. Been this way since I bought the car in 2009. Currently is rigged with some wire. Looks like crap. Doesn't appear to be any plastic shells available.

I found a place online that had the remotes and the cases when I bought my rag, of course..no better than the alarm works....
I'll look and see if I saved the link in my bookmarks or records.

Just read the review there - one guy said the FOB circuit board doesnt fit from his original. Also, looking at the pictures, it shows they SNAP together vs. screw together - not sure if that is how the board secures inside...
The other year I had a cracked fob for my truck. I could not find another of the same 'model' number or just a case. What I did find was who made it then started looking on Ebay. I found some used ones that were the same case but a different fob model number. I bought one, swapped out the guts of mine in to that case and had a perfectly good fob again.

She has new fobs (complete) for around 100 dollars shipped.

The earlier fobs were snap together and the later fobs used two screws to secure the shells. The later style are much more durable and can be used on the earlier PKE cars.

Right. There are replacement shells available for the newer (two screws) fobs, but none that I know of for the earlier (snap together) ones. The guts are NOT compatible without a lot of plastic work.
Thank you for the replies everyone, seems there are some options.
Mine is not secured by screws, which I guess makes it the early type and seemingly incompatible with the case on Amazon. Too bad, as that seemed a good option.

My own fault for not reading every post in this thread!
The guts for the 96 PKE will not fit inside the nice new shell case I just wasted my money on. The inside of the shell has some stand-off posts or maybe they are alignment posts for some other type of CKT board. Also the screws that hold the shell together are right inline with the board, so if you DID modify the insides to fit the ckt. board, then you would have no way to hold the halves together. Their advertising is grossly misleading as to what years it will fit.
