Default 1995 Targa Top Question

A friend of mine bought a 1995 C4 Corvette with Targa Top but was told it come with a T-Top and they converted it to a Targa Top. My question do the Targa Tops on a C4 use bolts to bolt them in,and if so can and where could you buy a bolt kit? None of the bolts are the same. Thanks

PS The only Corvette I have ever owned is my current C6 and it has latch locks to hold it in place.

It did not come with a T-top. It came with the targa top. It does use bolts to hold it in. Any of the Corvette supply shops have them. Ecklers, Corvette America, etc.

Thank You!!!! I did not think anyone could convert one over from a T-Top to a Targa top and build a Targa Top that fit. Some people will tell a women or man for that fact anything to sell a car. But other than the bolt problem its a very nice car. Thanks again.

The bots have Torx heads (it's a star pattern) not sure exactly what size. Also you can't get at the bolt heads with just a regular torx socket/tool, it has to have an extended tip similar to the original factory tool, hopefully it's in the back of the glove box behind that little clip.

Glad your friend is enjoying the car. 1995 is one of the best years for C4.

.45 Torx If I recall correctly. Socket with short extension will do the trick.

Did it come without a top? The front bolts should stay in place. accessed thru the hole by the sun shades. The rear generally stay with the top.

Rear mount center bolt holds the top in (top is off car)

Front

Access hole to bolt in windshield header
