New engine top end rebuild with 2k miles on 89 C4 with 85k on car. Transmission started slipping from dead stop until it finally shifts to 2nd or 3rd and holds up ok at speeds of 40mph +. Thinking that the additional hp must have been too much for the 85k transmission I filled it with no-slip additives. It is only slipping a little now .. 1st has No Slip at all. Must be in 2nd gear at rolling stop. Any suggestions? rebuild? patching? more additives? Still drive-able thanks to Lucas stop slip. Really could use some help here. I am pulling another quart out for additional stop-slip additive tonight and road testing tomorrow. The overdrive feature makes it harder to diagnose. Anyway to turn that off?
