I have a 1990 C4 roadster with a limited edition paint job ~ 800 both coupe and roadster(original: Code 9080) that leaks oil really bad. It is 27 years old with the original seals, gaskets, etc. I'd like the engine pulled and all the gaskets, seals, etc replaced. Who is the best place to use? The car only has 70K original miles
Thanks

It is a fairly large planet, could you tell us about where you live it would help some. where I live in PA I would recommend Stiely's Garage in Trevorton, PA. Chances are you never heard of him, or the podunk town I live in.

Without a location, no idea where to send you. Perhaps it might be easier to help if you put your location in the profile. If you are near Decatur IN, Lingenfetler. If you are near the Twin Cities, Hitech Motorsport.
Just pull the engine and put in a new crate motor...It will probably be cheaper 'cause once your in there changin' gaskets and stuff you might as well freshin' it up a bit.
If you are capable of doing a little detective work and can figure out where the oil leak or leaks are coming from you may save yourself some money. Something like an oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket etc... Can fairly easily be done with the engine in the car. If you prefer to have the engine taken out that's fine but I would hate for you to pull the engine just for something like a leaking valve cover gasket... Its your call though.
I'm a little curious what the limited edition paint job has to do with repairing an oil leak.
The "limited edition" color (WA9080 or RPO 25U) is Steel Blue Metallic and was just one of 10 colors that was available for 1990. Wasn't that popular of a selection but it was not a "limited production".
