I wanted to buy a pair of weather seals for the doors on my C4, so I went to the CC website. I found what I wanted and the price of around 50 bucks was OK, so I proceeded to the checkout. I was caught in my previous order from them when a $7.95 part cost me over 45 bucks to post to Australia.
So I emailed them to ask for a postage quote and they replied that I should proceed with the order and ask for a quote at the appropriate time. I never found where to ask for a quote and discovered that I had in fact placed the order without knowing how much they were going to slug me for postage, so I cancelled the order and went to CorvetteMods where I ordered my parts and was given a postage price on the spot.
Has anyone else had this problem with CC or is it just my lack of computer knowledge that's the problem?
Last month I ordered a duel exhaust from them. Took a bit longer to arrtive than I thought but was/am happy with how all worked out. BTW, how bad Melbourne get hit by Hurricane Debbie? Ballina ( by the gold coast) got hammered.
I though it was just me. When I ordered weatherstrip for the hatch, I never came across the shipping cost before placing the order. Kept expecting to see it, then it was all done.
I don't recall what it ended up costing, but it was shockingly high for a domestic order.
On the positive side, the weatherstripping is holding up great.
Edit: I looked back at my October post and the shipping cost was $20.

Reason: Found how much I paid.

Odd, when i order it shows up on the invoice before you select payment method for US orders. Since I've never selected outside United States, don't know about that.

Yeah international postage sucks...
They usually send a 3 foot box packed with packing material for a Maf sensor, turned out it did not work and is a new type no hot wire.
Bad luck they say no warranty on electronic parts......
said suits 85-89 but 85 is a one year only maf
Got one from Ecklers they emailed two postage quote options and was the correct Bosch MAF works great.
Bye bye Corvette Central, almost 20 years I had used them but now no more.
If you ask for an 85 MAF you should get the correct Bosch MAF, not some cheap copy crap.
I don't know if its new or not but ya ever notice the links end up changing as you click around the site to parts123.com . Like it just part of some warehouse group, that you resell parts under them for a profit. But ive only ordered on ebay from them, so it could be normal. but I membmer when eastwood was a top brand, then they sold the name, half their stuff is what you get from harborfreight anymore. With a few quality brands.

It seems that the problem might be specific to overseas orders. I bought a few things for my car to be delivered to the shipper in LA without any dramas.
Where I am down South we only had some heavy rain from Cyclone Debbie unlike the folks up North who had major floods and strong winds.
