My new (2 week) 96 Coupe has been in my garage with a new (1 year old) beautiful chip style epoxy floor. Since everyone wants to hear to hear it run it has been started and stopped a few times. I know about the muffler drain holes and why they are needed. My problem is it seems to have stained my epoxy floor. A light brown tint in the clear top coat. Could be some acid in the water dripping. Does anyone put down catch pans for this? I am thinking some aluminum 1/2" tall baking pans. Thanks, Dan
You will want something heavier than a baking pan, if you have the door open any little breeze will blow it away. I use a furnace drip pan, they are available in metal or plastic in different shapes and sizes starting at less than $20.
