SYS flashing

SYS flashing
Bought a 94 corvette. Has an after market radio. Took dash apart to see if it was wired correctly, it seems to be. Obd1 code is H72, Lcd dimming output circuit open or shorted to ground. I don't think anything is truly wrong but don't want the SYS flashing in case something does really go wrong. I was told a 3 ohm resistor on the power line at the stereo would fix this. I was wondering if this was correct? Any help that you could give me would be appreciated.
