I need the push in rivets that go at the bottom of the door panel. I have scoured the internet and can only find one, yes just one and it is listed for $75.......... Fastener and clips . com does not have them either......
I also need the white anchors that go behind the door handle, I have found them.......
What year? If you're talking about the white anchors that press into slots in the door and also are used under the door pull, they are easily available from the usual sources. Not sure about about the push-in rivets, any pics?
any chance of posting a pic? those push-rivets, or fasteners are usually readily available just about anywhere. as for the broken hole, can't comment on any repair until is see the extent of the damage. it might be as simple as bridging the hole from the back with .016 aluminum, and some JB weld, or a different style or type of fastener - ???
here's a google image of push rivets - might be some food for thought....
I have found several sources for generic push in rivets, just not sure what size. The old ines are in such bad shape and the holes are a little wollered out.
i have the panel back in place but will take pics this weekend......
A suggestion for your consideration. Take a micrometer and measure (1) the diameter of the flat head of the "skrivit" and (2) the diameter of the shaft ... from outside edge to outside edge.
Why? I just recently took the driver door apart to replace the window regulator and wanted to replace the push-in fasteners. I spent several days searching on the internet and visited several of the auto parts chain stores to look through their catalogs. They are not available under any corvette part number that I could find however if you know the exact size... you can find them for more recently manufactured cars.
These things are available through catalogs however I could only find them in black.. a few places showed them in white..... but of course on my 95 I need them in beige.
I'm sorry I did not note in what catalog I found them because these days they only come in black.
