Joe C, we all know Corvette's are precious, and deserve the best TLC! Can't we give the guy a chance before throwing that kind of a comment? A new owner will always have a bunch of questions. I, for one, would appreciate it if you please delete your post.
Am I entitled to my opinion? I'd guess that many "first timers" are testing the waters. If they don't feel welcome, they don't come back. Is it that difficult to make them feel welcome, even though they ask off-beat questions? How are they to know that questions about "what oil" or "how do I open my hood" are off limits?

If it wasn't for Roy I probably would not have stuck around being a "noob" I had a wiring issue and he helped me through it, but I was very put off by the first few replies from other members.
Depends what you want. Are you trying to bring home trophies with a show car? Or you want something easy and still looking good? I use and highly recommend Meguiar's x-press spray wax at $32 a gallon on amazon. It's incredibly easy to use and can go on anything including plastic. I spray this stuff on literally everything and the ease of use is worth so much more to me.
Before you wax it try using a clay bar. Amazing results, I used Mothers California Gold clay bar kit with their Carnauba paste wax. Car looks excellent. Clay bar is really easy to use.
Twas my experience here and on three other forums; none of which I frequent. As the another Corvette forum died its slow death, I have little choice.
Sadly too many with no life, it seems, post opinions or 'why are you.....' instead of just answering the question based upon what they learned, as the hot rod hobby has done for decades.
