Replacing Window Regulator
Update: I got the clip off and removed the panel. Now I just hope I can get it all back together.
I'm in the middle of replacing the window regulator on my 1984 C4. Window won't go down, fuses are OK, switch is OK, so I'm guessing its the motor. Already purchases a new regulator from Corvette Central, an upgraded version, not the ribbon style. I'm stuck though.
I got the inner panel off and the wiring harness is fully disconnected. I'm trying to remove the inner aluminum bracket but the door handle connecting rod seems to be really hard to remove. It looks like it's got retaining clips at both ends of the rod but I haven't the foggiest on how to remove them. They are really stubborn and won't slide.
Any suggestions?
