Replacing Window Regulator
So I got everything taken apart, inside panel off, wiring harness disconnected, vapor barrier removed, inside strengthening plate removed. I got to remove the three bolts holding the window to the regulator and two of them wouldn't be a problem,. But the top rear bolt can't come out because the window is all the way up. Looking at other posts, the first step is always to lower the window halfway. But if the motor is burned out I'm not sure that's possible.
So two requests, one is if anyone can recommend a way to get the window disconnected from the regulator. BTW, this was an upgraded 1986+ regulator not the ribbon style.
Two, since I'm struggling here I'm considering just taking into a shop. Anyone know of a decent place with experience on Corvettes north of Albany, NY?
