Its entirely possible that when the motor was replaced, that wire could have gotten pinched in the starter connections. You may want to check for that.

I may be sticking my foot in my mouth here, but in the first picture - does it look to anyone else that there's some form of a splice in that green wire and what might be a fuse holder near what looks like a red wire by it? If I'm right, I would not have expected either by the starter solenoid.

Just some possible observations.

I do not have the plastic cover for the connector. I ordered an aftermarket unit from Advance Auto just to get it up and going.

It is entirely possible that the sender wire got pinched in the starter wiring and that's where the voltage is coming from I have not hooked the wire up nor have I installed the new sender I picked up. I'm going to try and remove the starter and inspect and repair any wiring if need be.

Also good to know that the ECU isn't feeding the sender any voltage. It had crossed my mind as a possible issue.

I know everyone says the ecu doesn't see the temperature from that sensor but when my wire would fall off, it'd throw a code and the car would run like ****.

Ain't possible with the sender that's being discussed!

That wire is connected directly through the C100 to the cluster connector!
