firewall pass through locations
Could not really see any, are there any pass through location factory that can be used for a few wires.
Or do you have to start drilling holes?
And where is the best location to drill or run wires?

You can try running through the hole that the hood release cable runs through. Its run through a thick rubber grommet that you can remove, kind of a pain to get it back in there right though.
You are going mudding in your Corvette and will need a winch? Just lock the front hubs and run swamper tires you should be good.

I find looking down at the dash to check RPM takes eyes off the road to long, as I haven't had it long enough to just glance.
Thought of putting a mini shift like some where, maybe 2 [blue, red light].
Blue will be at peek power for banging gears, the other will be just before redline- ish.
I dunno really just brain storming. Just don't want a big tach mounted somewhere.
A simple thin line LED tach, like an in tall 3-4 in wide I can see looking straight forwards.....................

I did a quick Google and did not come up with anything, but there are progressive shift lights for OBD II cars. Someone out there might offer something like that for OBD I as well.
the hood cable does look promising, as of now where I like the wheel, I can only see up to 2500 rpm on the curve, can't see the rest or the square.
Did notice in the defrost vent, there is a square pad area where the screw goes, where 2-3in mini tach could sit.....

Auto Meter makes several actual 2" tachs that fit in a standard 2' gauge panel, single gauge cup or even in a A piller pod. Check Summit Racing. They also had a couple Hardrive brand Mini style that looked about 1 7/8 dia. total, with bracket.
So ive been just going by feel since I can't see. holey crap its even faster then i thought. Ive been shifting just before 3000 goin by feel. Only got a short drive as im gonna need allot more road to test
