I have had my hood opener tool hanging on the wall since I last used it, around 2 years ago. Hood cable broke and emerg. cable opener seems jammed. Now, I cant find the damn opener tool. AND, AND, the battery is dead from sitting a bit to long. Wanted to drive it to the drag strip sunday but nooooo, it decided to say " F " you. Guess I will be busy throwing stuff around the garage tomorrow.. well not throwing but you know what I mean. grrrrr

Absolutely know what you mean. I've misplaced tools and parts too many times to count. And just this last week, I made a stupid, rookie mistake working on my wife's car that has turned a 15-20 minute job into a full day's work (when I can get back to it).
I hope you have some good luck finding the tool and getting the hood open.

See the picture below, make a hood opening tool.
It may be quicker than finding your old one
Just google the hood opening tool instructions, you have to insert it to the mark and turn it.

I lost a set of key's for the *new* 92 two day's after I brought her home. Guess I need to stay away from those memory impairments.. Still can't find them?
