Opti Spark
Well the time has come to change the waterpump, optispark, timing chain, along with all of the other goodies I will be putting in. I am going to be putting in a Meziere electric pump LT 4 Hot Cam and Cloyes double-roller timing chain so I have to change the timing cover and opti spark to a newer model but what else do I need to do to swap to the newer opti unit?? I know that I need a new timing cover and have to plug the water pump drive hole. Do I need to do anything else?????? If I do can you provide details and part #'s please. TIA :cheers:

Ive used Cloyes chains before and theyre ok...but can you use a gear drive in the L98 or LT1 engines? Ive always been a fan (and loved the sound) of Pete Jackson gear drives.

Oh yeah, now I remember reading a long time ago that roller cams tended to walk back and forth a bit, thanks for the info :blueangel:
