My '93 coupe doesn't have the outside mirror wind deflectors and driving on the freeway with the windows down creates a blast of air right at my face.
For whatever reason GM didn't seem to want to be consistent with this deflector; my '92 'vert had them, my '87 coupe had them, but the '93 doesn't.
Has anyone installed the plastic versions that are available thru the various accessory catalogs? And if so, how do they work? I have seen them that use double-sided sticky tape and some that have the tape and also pop rivets. One catalog shows the OEM deflectors but at $180 for a pair. The plastic ones run $25 or so for a pair.
I got them not long after I purchased the car back in 2005.
I believe I got them from Mid America, but not sure.
Since I've never had a car with the factory ones, I can't compare.
But here is what the aftermarket ones look like.
I didn't bother getting them color matched and just kept the black plastic finish.
I used the tape along with rivets to install them.
I believe that the OEM deflectors were black and not body color. At least that was the finish on both my 92 and 87. Mid-America has the deflectors that come with both the 2-sided tape and pop rivets. So for $25 and shipping, that will probably the way to go.

Hi
I believe only the convertibles had the deflectors, I added the cheap aftermarket plastic ones to my coupe for the same reason and to reduce air turbulence and noise.
