Default Front right caliper binding

I have an 87 Vette. The passenger side front caliper is not releasing. I have replaced both front calipers, brake lines and disks, with no resolution. I brought the caliper bake to where I bought it thinking that the replacement was bad, no such luck. I finally brought it to a dealer where they checked the master cylinder, ABS system, speed sensor and concluded it was the caliper. They replaced the caliper with a GM original part and did not find the resolution. They called me and told me to come and get the car and that they could not find the problem. Any Ideas????

Someone here took the ABS head unit apart and there's a small spring inside of the unit that was broken in two causing the problem.... I would do a search in this forum,,,, it will turn up

If you have checked the obvious stuff like the pins on the caliper etc, if you don't mind a potential mess then with them locked up try loosening the line on the abs unit and see if it releases. Based on what you've done, I'd suspect either the hose to the caliper or something is plugged in the abs unit.

Best guess at the moment.

Make sure the slide pins are clean and have grease. Make sure they have a full range of movement. The pads will rest on a metal caliper bracket. Pull that bracket off and make sure there is no rust on the bracket where the pads make contact with the bracket. Clean the contact points and grease the contact points where the pads meet the bracket. This wil ensure that your pads will not bind in the bracket.
