broke what looks like a sensor....is right next to the block on drivers side, underneath the injector plugs. Need help figuring out what it is so I can get a new 1 to fix it
This thing; had small hose like connector(s) that went into the side of the block
..... LT1 ... the prominent round thing with a hose nipple is the fuel pressure regulator ... to the right , half out of the frame is the EGR valve ... the Delco Remy thing appears to be the EGR solenoid ... there should be some vacuum hoses around here .....
The wiring opens/closes the solenoid for smooth egr operation. The cars from the 70s had vacuum temp switches that would fail and cause drivability problems.
Egr is important for emissions & helps keep spark knock down.
