Hypertech Programmer 111 reset
Does anyone know how to reset this it's for a 94-95 Corvette and Camaro, Firebird LT1. I'm afraid if I set mine back to stock it won"t run right.

You can send it back to Hypertech and for a little over $200 they will reset it for you, but you (or the new owner of your car) will not be able to return to the stock settings. I would let it go with the car so the new owner does not have to deal with it.

I bought it from a guy here and had no problem with it I'm sure he didn't pay $200 to have it reset

There are two ways to reset the Hypertech unit. Attached it to the same serial number car it was used on and dump the stock setting back into the car. This will return the unit to an un-locked state. Then you can sell it.
The other way is to send it to Hypertech and have them reset it. This cost around $200.
The unit is locked to one car at a time by the serial code of the car which the unit stores.
If you want to un-lock it, hook it up to your car that you modified and return the stock setting. This will un-lock the unit and then you can sell it to anyone who will buy it from you.
If you do not want to do this, then you have a car you want to sell which will require a ECU flash to get the stock settings back. If I purchased your car and had to go through that, I'd be pretty upset.
The Hypertech unit will be worthless unless it's un-locked and anyone who buys it in this state will not be able to use it.
I know, I have one in a box that I purchased and can not use. If the guy was local, I'd kick his a$$.

Well, Hypertech will not service the older units anymore. No tech support for them. This would be for the Hypertech Power Programmer III
So someone, somewhere, must have a "hack", or a way to erase the stored V.I.N. in the unit so it could be used on another vehicle. Perhaps installing a newer version of the program in a unit would erase any stored V.I.N. # Many of these were installed, then the cars sold or scrapped and the unit is still sitting around, but is useless "as-is".
The most useful option on these are to correct the speedometer if rear end gears are changed, or tire size is changed, or, to turn the cooling fans on earlier.

I done this to mine that i have rigjt now. I don't know where the vehicle is that the vin came from anyways.
So 1st thing you do is carefully open the programmer case to expose the circuit board.
2nd thing you do is look for the micro card you might not see it at first but it will have a label that says waranty void if seal is broken.. I said so what ...
3rd Break the paper seal and slide the sd card out.
4th plug in the card to your phone sd card slot and open up the card on your phone
5th clear data from card
6th pull out card from phone
7th pur back in programmer
8th put case back together
Last but not least plug and play in your truck

I don't know what programmer you have, Jjones5150, but the programmer being referenced in this thread is a Hypertech Power Programmer III, P/N: 30027 for the 1996-1997 5.7L, LT1, LT4 Corvette/Camaro. I happen to have one so I pulled it apart and there is absolutely no paper warranty seal and NO SD CARD inside. I think I'm going to have to play the BS card here.
