So my current situation is i live in military dorms near Seattle where it rained every day for 2 months last winter. I have done my best to make my corvette waterproof with new weatherstripping but it still has a few very minor leaks that are fine for normal weather and rain. Right now im wondering what the best option is for a car cover for next winter. I need one that i can put on and leave it for a month or so with everyday rain and not worry about it ruining the paint or the interior of the car. I have no way to garage my car so this is about my only option. Any input on good brands or any ideas would be appreciated.
I use a Maxtech cover, similar to the Evolution fabric on my 89. I left the cover off during a recent rainstorm and had some seepage through the weatherstripping that was never there with the cover on, so depending on how bad your weatherstripping is that might work for you.
At the National Corvette Museum Store we sell a MODA by CoverKing car cover.
At the store it costs about $145 (If I remember correctly), and it works well for my C4. It also comes with a storage bag and a lock to keep the wind from blowing it off or some kids trying to take a peek underneath the cover.
It is listed as a "Semi-fit" cover for all models C4-C6, but it fits the C4 edges very nicely.
