Headlight switch **** removal.
Removing the instrument cluster bezel in my '87 Vette. How do I remove the headlight switch ****? I saw a video that tells how to remove the bezel but it didn't hit on how to remove this ****. It just said to do it.

If I remember correctly, there is a metal tab on the shaft behind the ****. Pull the **** all the way out and with a hook pick pull the tab towards you. The knop should slide right off.

A small thin screwdriver will work also. You need to turn the **** toward you so you can see the V-shape. That's where you need to use your tool.

Yep, there is a tiny wire ring that holds it on there. My advice, as soon as you get it off, put both parts in a sandwich bag ....together. Small parts very easy to lose. Hard to find replacement parts.
