Default Am I allowed to promote my youtube channel on here?

A couple moths ago I started a youtube channel to share my DIY experiences with the world. I'm not a mechanic so there are certain things I wont do but I have done a biggy...the Hurst shift-kit.
anyways am I allowed to link that here? I have other projects lined up and so far I think I have around 25 videos...mostly geared towards beginners and new vette owners.

Linking my YouTube channel must not be a TOS violation, great!

Mark,

I have seen a few of your youtube videos. The power antenna DIY will be helpful to me in the future. Keep it up!

Thanks for all the love guys...i needed a hobby and i thought a C4 Corvette would provide me with that haha. I'm not a mechanic so i cant explain things technically but I am mechanically inclined and I have either been around cars or tools my whole life so I'm not clueless. I also used to restore (body work and paint) cars as a hobby back when things like paint were cheaper but with the cost of paint these days i couldnt afford it keep it up so i sold my project cars and moved into a townhome...so i'm having a blast again!!!
i can post a couple pics of my first couple vettes, i painted one of them myself...changed color from polo green to competition yellow

Are you profiting in any way, such as money, by making and posting YT vids? Please send me a PM to explain.

My channel is not even 2 months old...I needed a hobby so i thought this might be fun plus i saw very little in the way of youtube videos for my car so i figured what the heck...the guys that make money doing this treat this as a second (and sometimes primary) job. its actually a lot of work...it takes HOURS (4-6) to download clips, edit, proof and upload).

I have a You Tube channel also. I have posted one of my videos when I thought it was appropriate. They are mostly car related but I did have a funny one of my nephew falling down, it should have been on AFV, I don't think I ever posted that one. Mods get the last word on your channel not you or I. I did like your channel.

What I did do and was hoping others would do is post a video about their car. I wanted to start a thread like that but I did not think enough of us in the C4 section would or have done that mostly we post photos of our cars.

I'd post video's when working on my car, but from what I've seen everything takes about twice as long while recording, not to mention having to edit the videos!

it takes 1hr to upload a 4min video to youtube (2.5 hr's for a 12min video) plus yeah, all the time editing which could take hours and then your project time of completion is doubled in length because you need to re-take, check audio and lighting ect...i am just doing this for fun. i simply needed a hobby and this is what i chose. haha

Subscribed! Keep up the good work. Wish I had the patience to do it.

Curious about your setup when you painted the car. Obviously plastic over the walls but what else did you do to enable you to paint in your shop? My concern is contamination and ventilation. I've done "driveway" paint jobs with mixed success and would love to be able to paint in my shop.

you would never believe me but that paint job turned out soooo good., even i was surprised. yeah i plastic'd the entire garage. then i opened the door and put a large box fan (for venting) there and plastic'd around that. I also used a quality PPG paint (nice thick paint less likely to run) and bought a nice Sata gun and then presto...i had a beautiful paint job. i was really worried about over spray settling on the car but i had none of that...Expecting to have a so-so finish, i used a single stage paint so that i could wet sand it baby-butt smooth and to my surprise, i was able to start with a 1200 grit (thats how nice the paint went on). over all that job was a huge success (i was lucky i know!!!) and the black wheels pulled it all together.
Thanks so much for the kind words and your interest in my channel!

I gotta say.... On the one hand, I'm a little pissy you painted a Polo Green Corvette... Personally, (And I cannot even tell you why.) I was really on the hunt for a Polo Green car until I found out the color makes my wife have bile come into her mouth...

But I also think Polo Green should not have a black interior it should be a Tan Interior.. (Just my Opinion.)

All that being said I will go to my Grave saying: Yellow Corvettes = DDS... Or as I like to say "Drop Dead Sexy...

It's too bad you did not do a video for this... Did You? I would be interested also in your set up... I need to paint a Winter beater... (I live in New England so Vettes in Snow, even though it is Arctic White = TS .... Or "The Suck..."

Was it single stage? Base + Clear? Look fabulous...
