i spent a year searching exhaust and the prices are all the same, they only vary about $150 (for a $1300 cat-back, the mufflers seem to hold steady at $900)..."corvette mods" seems to be the cheapest. have you heard the Corsa? i dont like them personally...i prefer Borla or Magnaflow but i have no idea if your car suffers from droning like the LT1's do.
here's my system (1995 LT1), its Borla SST mufflers with a x-pipe (the x-pipe reduces interior noise considerably). And I'm not trying to imply that you haven't done your research or have already made up your mind its just that in these forums everybody just says "buy Corsa".
i was patient and bought a complete cat-back Borla system off craigslist for $200 (i even got the cat's haha). "used" just means they are broken in...thats not a bad thing.

I have have heard the Corsa mufflers, read bad reviews of quality on
MAGNAFLOW. Borla would be my second choice or else i will just run
my stock mufflers.

understood...some people could care less about mufflers and others are very picky and only want one kind.
well anyways good luck and I'm sure they will sound amazing, after all they are the most popular system for these C4's for people that can afford them

Don't know about stock L98 but mine does have a lot of drone from the Borla Stingers. I'd definitely go Corsa if I had to do it again since I don't think it can be worse than Borla for noise.
Corsa 14115 cheapest is $1045 with free ship, check JEGS who also sell thru amazon, or ebay sellers. In April I got a deal from JCWhitney with a -$100 discount and Corsa had a $50 rebate. Buying experience was perfectly smooth, my first order from JCW since 70s lol
Corsa Sport fits looks sounds fantastic on my stock l98

thanks for part # it says bolt on no welding needed, I belive i only
need the mufflers because i have Long tube headers with straight pipe.
forgot to mention L98 freshly overhauled, 355 cid ported heads
with ZZ409 cam. i will just have to save up for these, thanks again!

Bolt On: A lot of banging with the BFH and swear words.
Universal: Fits nothing in this universe without major redesign.

Actually they don't quite say that. What you will find is that those folks who have been around a while and have seen dozens of posts over the past 10 - 15 years about aftermarket exhaust systems for C4 will say this: It has generally been found that the only two systems that do not drone on the C4 are the stock factory exhaust ... and the Corsa system. YMMV
If you could tell us where you were able to find a vendor selling just the Corsa mufflers that would be great as to the best of my knowledge Corsa will not sell just the mufflers. You must buy the entire cat back package.

Borla and Magnaflow sell just the mufflers for around $800. I've never seen Corsa mufflers by themselves but doesn't really matter to me because I dont like the sound of Corsa. The addition of a regular x-pipe did help with the cabin noise which is why my current system is the way it is, even though I purchased an entire lightly used Borla cat back for $200 on CL...I just used the mufflers
