Broke the metal part of my brake booster line, and was wondering if these are the same parts. I just need the metal line. my car is an 88, but the 78-81 line is half the price.

Remove the damaged section.
Cut as little as possible and replace/repair the gap with rubber hose as required.
Use clamps to secure the rubber scarf piece.
