Default Well I sold my CCW race classics, goodbye to them

Bought these on the forum a while back and I disassembled, refinished the wheels and brought them back to life. Kinda a bummer to sell them off after busting some sweat n plenty of beers to pass the time while rebuilding - Anyways, last pics of this config and chance to post with them, hope new owner (forum member) is loving them:

There's a reason they're named CCW "Classics". They are a timeless design and always look great on a Corvette.

Makes me wanna go get good pics of my car with the new wheel and tire setup. And I know what you mean about refinishing them, patience is key with that.

Agreed, CCWs are timeless and beautiful. I didn't think I would ever sell them but saw some Fikses that I was fixated with so had to do it.

93C4 - post them up! I know you were looking for that 17" wheels for like ever, I think I saw you in like every Fikse FM5 post but you finally got it made!

Sorry I had posted in C4 for sale. I lucked out on a set of 18" FM5 wheels from a buddy Steve (Doten), he's a C5/C6 guy here on the forum - Great guy. I'm just going to spend some time today cleaning them up:

LMFAOOOO very true on me being in every FM5 post I'll go snap some pics today, they'll be so so. I've been pondering the idea of stripping the clear off my wheels. The fronts are perfect, clear coat on the rears isn't the best still OK. My rears are dated from 1995!! Are you using mother's aluminum polish? Also, you can also polish the back of the wheels as well. I'm sure you already know that, but I'm just throwing it out there.

Yeah you got it right, just finished polishing them all up using mothers aluminum polish, they came out great I think but didn't have to do the barrels as they weren't too bad. I usually try to strip any clears off aluminum and polish it to a nice sheen, it's more upkeep but also looks nicer

What were the wheel and tire size for the CCW? I would like to get that kind of a stance if I ever get the chance to buy a set.

The tires were 315/35/17 Nittos all around (NT01s in the front and NT05Rs in the rear), I think the wheels were 17x10.5 and 17x11.5 IIRC

Dont forget to lower it too, helps some...got the front wedges cut down and then bought the extra loooooong 11" rear bolts from BDE-Systems.com (via eBay).

I got the wheels from the C6 section a while back so keep an eye out in the C5 or C6 section for CCWs, they seem to pop up like every 2 weeks it seems

Thanks man, I've always liked the CCWs but I don't know why I just didn't ever settle in with them. I guess I need better things to do than second guess wheels

That's my upstairs neighbor Ron, hes got problems bigger than mine

Well if you're selling those FM5''s would be the only reason. I finally scored a set for my car. My all time favorite wheel for a C4
