Corvette series:

1953-1962 = C1
1963-1967 = C2
1968-1982 = C3
1984*-1996 = C4
1997-2004 = C5
2005-2013 = C6
2014- present C7

There were 5 different engines in the C4 over the entire production span. L83 (Cross-Fire in 84 only), L98 (from 85 thru 91), LT5 (ZR-1 only from 90-95), LT1 (92-96), LT4 (96 w/ 6-speed manual only).

*Although there were a couple 83s built for testing, delays resulted in NO production 83s being built. 1984 was the year the production model C4s were marketed, introducing the C4.
